This type of tin snips doesn't work very good for cutting the discs.
This type of tin snips work really good for cutting them. After I made the discs into circles, I put three of them together in the vise at the same time to drill the center holes, but if you take a pair of vise grips and just gently clamp on the top of them, it will hold them while you drill them. I used a spring loaded punch to mark the center.
You're on the floor looking up at the bottom of the rocker panel where it meets the floor pan. A regular 2 inch disc cut down to 1-1/4 inch will not go up in that flat area. The little 7/8 discs will.
Just a picture of the tool showing how it goes in there. Anyway, these little discs will really cut welds so I thought someone might possibly want to know this.
