Where the arrows are, I drilled a hole a little under 1/16" to line up on top to scribe a line for a cut. The holes are right in the corner of the edge of the support and on the edge of where the two sheet metal pans come together. I also drilled a couple more holes in between the two, in case there was any discrepancy in the straightness of the pans after I previously cut them.

The arrows are where my little holes are located. Plus a couple in between those first two holes.

I laid masking tape between the holes to make it easier to scribe the line.

Put some yellow marks on top where the supports are so you won't cut into the supports. I used the 3M cut-off wheel to make most of the cuts.

Here is the hack saw I was talking about. I had one good Snap-on blade left and broke it tonight. Anyway you can cut them from underneath or up above, or you can mark them and take them out and cut them except for the tunnel. A hand-held jigsaw would work good too. I tried the cut-off wheel and the hacksaw and it's pretty much a wash. Just cut it anyway you want to.
