They only had 1" pipe foam insulation, but it will work.

It's made so you can take either rail off, or both of them.

You can see where I hung the door out from the edge of it and it holds it really solid.

I know you can buy some door lifts that will work as good as this one, and it took me 
quite a while to build but this is for the guys who like to make stuff. I know it's
made out of fence rail, but it's pretty stout.
