Here you can see how I hammered it.

I made a door out of some smaller angle iron with hinges so the carrier opens up in the back.

I wound up putting 4 little hinges on it. You can see all the holes I drilled in the tubing. I did this to lighten it up. This is something you don't want to do. Make your carrier out of lighter tubing. After it was complete with the floor, padding and everything, it weighs 24 pounds. Buster weighs 13 pounds, so I have a total of 37 pounds, but most of it is above the back wheel. So there isn't much weight hanging behind the wheel. Anyway, it's heavier than I really wanted, but after riding him around in it I don't notice the weight at all. I made the cage big enough so he can turn around in it. It's about 12" wide, 19" long, I can't remember the height. But I made it big enough so his head wouldn't hit the top if I hit a bump.

Buster is 13 years old and he's very timid but he'll put up with anything to go with me. I rode him around a little bit today and he is getting really used to it. You dog owners will know what I'm talking about when I say I can't leave him home. This dog goes every place I go, sleeps with me and sits in the chair beside me while I watch t.v. We're inseparable.

It's not painted yet here, and I have since doubled the padding.
