I just measured the piece it's varies from 1 1/8 to 1 5/16 wide and 60 3/4 long. 
    It's 18 gauge steel, cut it with electric snips.
    I marked it, the body, then took a plumb bob to some construction paper taped to 
    the floor, little dots, then filled in the dots.
    This way it's all in one piece. Dremel makes a reinforced cut off wheel, 5 for $5 
    versus $5 for 36 of them, It will take me less then two of the reinforced wheels 
    to cut that out, there fast and tough, try it you'll like them.
    There's a fine line to cutting to deep, I took one picture inside the trunk, where 
    I cut looking inside the trunk, just push lightly and you will see a crack of light, 
    that way you will never know it was cut out.
